About the event
Join us for a private dojo outing to the Art Institute of Chicago, where we’ll spend time wandering one of the great collections of human creativity—without having to read every placard or pretend we understand all of it.
This special event is less about lectures and more about looking closely: at movement frozen in sculpture, intention captured in brushstrokes, and the quiet discipline behind great works of art. Expect thoughtful conversation, occasional laughter, unexpected favorites, and at least one moment where someone says, “I didn’t think I’d like this, but…”
No prior art knowledge required. Curiosity is more than enough. This is an opportunity to experience art the way we train—attentive, open, and willing to be surprised. Friends and family are welcome. Comfortable shoes are strongly encouraged. We promise no pop quizzes, no exams, and no one will ask you what the artist meant—unless you want to laugh about it…
