Whether you’re new to martial arts or an experienced practitioner, we’re delighted to have you visit our dojo. Mushinkan Kokyo is a space where people come together to grow, learn, and challenge themselves in a supportive, inclusive environment. Here, we honor the traditions of Aikido, Iaido, and Internal Cultivation while encouraging personal transformation and self-discovery.
 
 
What to Expect:
 

  • A Warm Welcome: Our community is rooted in kindness and respect. Whether you’re here to observe or to begin your journey, you’ll find an atmosphere that is nurturing and encouraging.
     

  • All Experience Levels Welcome: Don’t worry if you’re a complete beginner or an experienced martial artist. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are and help you grow, one step at a time.
     

  • A Holistic Approach: At Mushinkan Kokyo, we don’t just teach martial techniques. We focus on the development of body, mind, and spirit. You’ll be guided through not only physical techniques but also through principles that will empower your daily life.
     

  • A Community of Like-Minded Individuals: Join a dojo that emphasizes mutual respect, camaraderie, and inclusivity. You’ll practice alongside others who share a passion for martial arts, personal development, and creating a peaceful, grounded existence.

 
 
 
How to Get Started:
 
We invite you to visit and experience the dojo firsthand. To make the most of your visit, here’s what to do:
 

  • Contact Us Before You Visit: Let us know you’re coming so we can ensure your visit is smooth. You can reach us by email at info@mushinkankokyo.org.
     

  • What to Wear: Comfortable workout clothes (loose-fitting) are ideal. Please note, we do not provide dogi or uniforms, so please bring your own if you’d like to participate in class.
     

  • Guests Are Welcome: Visitors can observe or participate in classes. If you’ve practiced Aikido or Iaido before, feel free to bring your own uniform and jump right in!
     

  • Mat Fee for Visiting Aikidoka or Iaidoka: If you’re visiting us from another dojo, a $25 mat fee will apply.
